A glorious Sunday afternoon

It is a glorious Sunday afternoon and I am not sure what happened. I put in the title and must have hit the wrong key because it published instead of going into the body.

I have off loaded pictures to this laptop to put on this post, but guess what? The little icon to add pictures is not here. Is it me? Has it been so long since I have posted that I have forgotten where to find the icon or is blogger being mean today? At this point I am not sure. When I can figure out where the icon is I will add some pictures to this post of just start a new one and put them there.

A little over a month ago we had a lovely dog show up here at the house. I fell in love with her when I saw her and told my hubby that she HAD to be a mix of Saint Bernard and German Shepherd. When D took her to the vet she agreed with him that that was probably what she is. So she is a Saint German now. LOL She is such a noodlehead and such a good nurse to me. Since I have come home from the hospital she has been amazingly gentle with me and will even lend her support if I get shaky on my feet and this pup is not a year old yet!! She is even more atuned to D so I would hate to think how protective she would be if he was hurting. D named her Betsie.
My little black cat has appointed himself as my personal and ONLY nurse. He will not let the other cats come near Mom and doesn't even want my Saint Bernard to come too close. He barely left my side from the time I came home Wed afternoon until last evening. I had been sleeping down here as D had not gotten my stool to get into bed made and Cole was my constant companion. He was here if he was not eating or outside for a few minutes. I guess since I was able to go upstairs to sleep last night he is not as close on duty today. He has not been here with me for about an hour now. I miss the little guy.

Home again

I am home from the hospital and I guess I am getting better. I am sore as can be and do not want to do anything. I will post some pictures of knitting later. I am just glad to be home in my own surroundings again.

Good Golly, Miss Molly. I have blogged twice in a week.

No pictures yet. I just have not had time to download them from the camera. Maybe tomorrow or Sunday. If not it will be late next week. I will get them.

Hello

I finally have internet at the house again, so maybe I can do a little better at keeping up my blog.
I have pictures on the camera but need to download them and it is late and I don't want to fool with them this evening. Maybe I will do it this weekend or later next week.
There is FO's, a new dog, a new van, and as soon as I take a picture an ancient lovely oak fallen over.

Good golly, I haven't been here since early Nov! It has been a busy time for me.
I wanted to post my latest socks and a pair of gloves I made.
The socks are HPKY in LaBoheme. Done ML, toe up, sewn cast off. I did 2 socks at once using both ends of the ball. I have approximately 1/3 of the ball left.
These are the January sockamania socks and were a fun knit. Even though it was hard to make myself drop the stitches when told to do so.
Just ignore the large bruise on my shin. I fell at my son's when I went down to feed his dogs on Jan 12. His porch was frosted and when I stepped up one foot went forward and the other backward and OOPS I am sitting there crying. Of course he was not home or I would not have been there to feed his dogs, and D was not home and where he was he has no cell service. So I had no choice but to walk home. They live just down over the hill from D and me so I never drive there, just walk. Did you notice that I said "down over the hill"? Yep, I had to gimp back up the hill to get home. I made it, nothing is broken just bruised and sore as heck.

These are my alpaca gloves that I made. They were to be for my daughter but I just knew that one of her dogs would eat them so I decided to keep them. They are really gorgeous and soft and warm. I will have to get D to take a picture of them on my hands. This pic really does not do them justice.
See part of my Saint Bernard collection behind the gloves? I love Saints. My Saint is 8 1/2 years old and the love of my life. I have about 30 or so stuffed Saints. Some sing, some dance, and one even breathes. LOL. My fave is the two that sing "I've Got You Babe." They are really a hoot. (All the guys here in the office think I am crazy but since I write the payroll they put up with me.)

Better get back to work.

Way, way, way back in July Marit nominated me for the Rocking Girl Blogger. I was really thrilled but did not know how to put the button on my blog. I have finally found out how to do it so a little late but I am going to name 3 more.

It's me again....

Just wanted to post pic of my latest pair of finished socks.

This was my first time doing Intarsia and also my first time doing magic loop. Both were fun to do. I think I now prefer magic loop for socks. DPN are still fun to use out in public for the WOW factor, but for ease of putting them down magic loop is best. I also tried two circ but when you use a 16" circ the actual needle part is so short that it sometimes is hard to work with. I guess I could use two longer circs but then I am afraid I would have too much cable and that would be a bother. At least I have options.
