I started this scarf about a week ago and have enjoyed working on it. The pattern is Charismatic Knit Scarf. I am using Pattons Lacette. This is a fine mohairy yarn that I purchased many moons ago and could not decide what to make with it. Now I have.
This is about 9 1/2 inches done and I have used almost all of 1 ball which is 50 g. Luckily I have several more balls of it. I originally bought enough to make a sweater and have gone off the idea of a mohair sweater, so I guess a lacy scarf.

Dexter
I finally finished my Dexter cardigan. I really love it. The yarn is a blend of merino, silk, and cashmere. Can you say ohhh so soft? That it is. I used a soft blue gray yarn with the intent of it going with a particular dress that I am going to sew just as soon as I decide on the shape.
I'll try to get a good pic of it but the weather has been dreary so I couldn't get it so far.
Now to figure out what will be my next sweater. I really need some dressy cardigans for this winter but I think I have waited too long to get more than maybe one more done. Stay tuned.

Posting Pics
I used to be able to post pics but I have forgotten how evidently.. I think I am doing it the way I used to, but it is not working. Guess I need to do some trial and error and see what happens. :(
A Little Sewing...
I've been in the mood to sew here recently. So I have been being creative with my sewing machine as well as with my knitting needles.
At Christmas I made scarves for several of my family from those fuzzy throws then embroidered their initial on them. They were a success (for the most part).
Now I am making some pillowcases. I got new sheets and they only had 2 pillowcases and I really need four for my bed so when I saw this tutorial Kelby sews pillowcases I decided to give them a try. The tutorial is really easy to follow and the cases were super simple to make. She has lots of other things on there that I also want to give a try to.

Where has the time gone?
Guess it is time to try to do this blogging thing again.
Main problem is pictures. I use my phone for pictures but blog on my desktop. Maybe I can learn how to get the pictures over here easily.
Have done a ton of knitting since I last blogged but few pictures.
I homeschooled my grandson the last two years. He is going to a private school this year. He is in 7th grade and I was feeling not up to the stress. Besides, he needed the companionship of other students. So we will see how it goes. His mom is working at the school, not sure whether that makes it better or worse. lol

My Grandson is Home!!
My son and DIL have moved back to their home just down the hill from us which means that my grandson is now home also. It is so nice to have them all close, my daughter and nearly SIL live just over the hill on the other side of us, so we can have lots of cookouts and swim parties at MaMaw and PaPaw's.
All my pictures are on my phone or Ipad so I will have to download them to my PC so I can post some of them. I hve no luck trying to post to here from either of them.
There has been knitting going on but no pictures taken. I am the worst at taking pictures. I always think too late about them.
Last Saturday Simmie (my grandson)talked PaPaw into opening the pool. So Sunday when he came up he wanted to swim. We told him the water was too cold yet but he kept saying it wasn't too cold for him (he just came here from Haiti this past October) and wanted to get in. Finally we told him to get his suit on and he could get in. Well, he bailed in and as soon as his feet hit the bottom they propelled him back to the top and up and out of the pool. His eyes were as large as saucers and he came out so quickly that his trunks had slid down and the "moon" was out when he came out and he admitted that it was cold. LOL Neither Dale nor I had our phones out to take video. :(
Our daughter is getting married this October 18. I am going with her Sunday to look at dresses. I am so glad. Her "feller" is a really nice guy and fits right in with this family. :) More on that later.
